Frequently Asked Questions
  • How much does it cost to host an event in a venue at Canvas Stadium?

Every event is different and each space has a specific rental fee associated with it. Providing your event manager and catering manager with an estimated attendance and budget per person will help them to customize your event depending on your needs and desires. Potential costs associated with an event at Canvas Stadium are the rental fee, catering through Spectra, and security (based on number of guests and if alcohol is served).

  • What is included in the facility rental fee?

The base rental fee includes up to 5 hours of event time, built-in audiovisual, in-house furniture set up as desired by Stadium Events staff. Additional event hours may be available for an hourly fee.

  • Does the venue rental includes staff and event services?

Yes, a professional Stadium Events Manager will coordinate with you all the in-venue details for your event and will be on-site the day of your event. You will also coordinate catering and bar services with a Spectra professional Catering Manager.

  • I am a CSU Staff Member/Alumni/Season Ticket Holder; can I get a discount on my event?

There is not an automatic discount for those groups. If you are a Rams Sports Properties partner, please speak with your account representative to see if you qualify for a discount.

  • Do I need to have security at my event?

Stadium Events requires a security agent(s) at events dependent upon the size of the event, if alcohol is served, and location. The cost of the security agent(s) is covered by the client. Your event manager will help to determine the correct security coverage and will hire and manage the security staff on your behalf.

  • Where can my guests park for my event, and how much does it cost?

All on-campus parking is managed by CSU Parking & Transportation Services. The closest parking option for Canvas Stadium is Lot 240, which is located directly west of Canvas Stadium. This lot is enforced and ticketed until 4pm, and not enforced on the weekends. There are two Pay-to-Park lots located on the south side of Canvas Stadium (Lake Street Garage and NoCo Lot). The cost to park in these lots is $2/hour. Daily parking permits are also available for purchase through your event manager or the parking services website HERE. If you wish to cover the cost of parking for your guests, your event manager can work directly with CSU Parking & Transportation Services to make those arrangements. Parking Maps.

  • When can I get in the venue to set-up my decorations? How long do I have to breakdown?

The Canvas Stadium event staff will be as accommodating as possible with setup before an event and access will be dependent on other events and staffing. If you think you will have a lengthy setup, please let your event coordinator know when reserving a venue as there may be an additional hourly charge. Please provide a detailed list of all vendors and their setup/breakdown needs at least 72 hours in advance of the event. An hour after an event will be provided for breakdown. This can be flexible depending on venue availability after the event but needs to be discussed in advance to avoid an additional charge.

  • Where can my guests smoke during my event?

CSU is a non-smoking campus. Click HERE to read Campus No Smoking Policy.

  • Are there limitations for decorations I can utilize for my event?

All decorations must be approved by your event manager prior to the scheduled event. Only approved tape/adhesives can be used to hang decorations, failure to follow decor policy may result in a charge. Confetti, glitter and devices that create an open flame are not allowed inside the venue.

  • What A/V equipment can you provide for my event?

Canvas Stadium has built-in audiovisual in each rentable space. There is no additional cost to use the built-in audiovisual, and an event manager will control or adjust any audiovisual needs during the event. If any additional audiovisual equipment is needed that isn’t provided in-house, additional fees will occur.

  • How does the deposit and payment work?

There is a 25% nonrefundable and applicable deposit due upon contract signing. Stadium Events accepts payment in the form of checks or bank wire. Unfortunately, we do accept credit cards. For CSU Departments, deposits can be paid through internal orders or Kuali.

  • When are final guest counts due?

Final counts and layout edits need to be submitted 10 days prior to the event.

  • How do my guests access the stadium?

Most guests enter through the West Premium Entrance doors. Your event manager will coordinate a schedule for the doors to be unlocked based on your event timeline.
