2009 (Freshman): Colin scored twice during the indoor season with a seventh-place finish in the mile run (4:29.54) at the Air Force Collegiate Invitational (Feb. 13) and a again with an eighth-place finish in the mile (4:27.85) at the MWC indoor championships (Feb. 26). During the outdoor season he recorded his best time in the 800-meters (1:57.79) at the Wyoming Gem City Duals (April 18). His best time in the 1,500-meters (4:04.96) came at the CU Invitational (April 11).
High School: Colin lettered in three sports while attending Lyons High School in Lyons, Colo. He was named all-conference, all-league and all-state in both track and cross country in his junior and senior years. He was twice a regional champion in cross country and was the Colorado state runner-up in both cross country and track. He holds the school records in the 800 meters, 4x400 meters and 4x800 meters.
Personal: Colin was born Dec. 20, 1989, to Roger and Dawn Anderson in Tomball, Texas. He has two younger brothers, Casey and Jacob, and a younger sister, Jenna. He is majoring in business finance.
