2009 (Junior): Jeremy had a successful outdoor season scoring in three meets. At the Wyoming Gem City Duals (April 18), he finished third in the 1,500-meter run (4:00.17). He took fourth place in the 1,500-meters (4:01.88) at the Jack Christiansen Invitational (April 24). He pulled out another fourth-place finish in the 1,500-meters (3:52.78) at the Front Range Invitational (May 2). Jeremy finished his season running the 1,500-meters at the NCAA Midwest Regional meet.

2008: Jeremy redshirted both the indoor and outdoor seasons.

2007 (Freshman): During the indoor season, Jeremy scored at the Air Force Invitational (Feb. 2) with a seventh-place finish (4:22.98) in the mile. He started the outdoor season with a score at the Rob Upton Invitational (March 24), where he finished third (4:01.12) in the 1,500-meters, and finished the season off with a fourth-place finish (31:43.00) in the 10,000-meters at the MWC outdoor championships (May 9).

High School: Jeremy earned four letters in both cross country and track while attending Evergreen High School in Evergreen, Colo. He was named all-league from 2002-05 and all-state in 2004. He won the Jefferson County League 4x800-meter championship in 2002. He was named team captain and MVP in 2004 and 2005 and holds the school 800-meter and 1,600-meter records. He was also named academic all-state on numerous occasions.

Personal: Jeremy was born July 7, 1987, to Jeffrey Freed and Beth Widman. His father ran track while at Temple University. He is majoring in marketing and finance.
