2005: Redshirted the outdoor season. Finished in the top six in every race and broke the school record in the 5000 meters after running a 14:02.59 at the Tyson Invitational. 2004: Placed second in the 10,000 meters and fourth in the 5K at the Mountain West Championship. Also won the 10K at the prestigious Drake Relays. Ran in just four races during the indoor season, finishing in the top 12 in all of them. 2003: Finished sixth at the MWC Championship in the 10K. All four races of the year he placed in the top six. Earned all-conference honors after crossing the tape third in the indoor 5000. 2002: Earned freshman of the year honors for the MWC during cross country. Had two top-three finishes in the 5000 as a true freshman. During indoor, he was sixth in the 3000 at the conference meet and had three top-five finishes during the year.
