High School: Lana lettered in track, cross country and soccer all four years at Olathe East High School in Olathe, Kan. She was part of a state championship team in cross country in 2007 and part of two state championship teams in track in 2008 and 2009.

Personal: Lana was born June 4, 1991, to Robert and Laura Thompson in Overland Park, Kan. She has an older brother, Phillip, and an older sister, Sarah. She has yet to declare a major.
