High School: She set the school record in the 100-yard backstroke (56.83), and is part of the record-holding 200 and 400 medley relay teams. She was a nine-time 26-6A district champion (three of them individual titles) and a seven-time regional champion (100 back individually). A team captain her final two seasons, she was a member of the National and Latin honor societies and was an AP Scholar with Distinction as a junior and senior. She competed club for Alamo Area Aquatics.
