Mike DeLuca began working at Colorado State University in July of 2015, as a graduate assistant with the football team, as well as the primary athletic trainer for the cheer/dance teams. After two years, DeLuca received his master’s degree from Colorado State University, and was then hired on to join their full time sports medicine staff in July 2017. Mike is currently the primary athletic trainer for the women’s volleyball and women’s swim/dive teams.
DeLuca is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, graduating in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. During his two years in the athletic training program at the University of Central Florida, he primarily worked with their football team. In addition to his time with the University of Central Florida’s football team, DeLuca served as an intern for the San Diego Chargers in the summer of 2014.
Prior to being accepted into the University of Central Florida’s athletic training program, DeLuca attended two years of Lake Sumter State College, where he was a student athletic trainer for their softball team in 2012-2013.
DeLuca was born in Islip, N.Y. and grew up in Clermont, Fla., where he attended East Ridge High School.
Mike is an active member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA), and wants to pursue his clinical interest in Active Release Technique (ART).
