Colton Shirley came to Colorado State as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel in December 2025 after spending last season with the Tulsa football program in the same role. He oversaw all defensive scouting for high school and transfer portal players.

Prior to Tulsa, Shirley was a player personnel student assistant at Texas during his undergrad and at LSU when earning his master's degree
