Kyle Krantz joined Jim Mora's initial staff in December 2025 and is the special teams coordinator and leads the outside linebackers. Prior to Fort Collins, he spent the past three seasons of his career at Liberty holding role of special teams coordinator, outside linebacker coach, co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach.
During his tenure at Liberty, Krantz has coordinated defensive and special teams units that ranked among the nation’s best in turnovers forced, rush defense, and special teams efficiency, including a national-leading 21 interceptions in 2023. He was a key figure in one of the most successful stretches in Liberty history, helping guide the Flames to a 21-4 record, the 2023 Conference USA Championship, and a Fiesta Bowl appearance.
His career includes coaching stops at Missouri, Washington State, South Carolina, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, and Northwestern, providing experience on both sides of the ball and across all phases of special teams.
