Lauren Rael is a Colorado native, born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. Her passion for dance at the age of 4, during a soccer game that she was supposed to be playing. And has been dancing ever since.

She has experience in both the studio competitive dance and sideline collegiate dance. Beginning recreationally at a local studio as well as competing in All-Star cheer at a nearby gym and Greeley West High School Dance Team and spent four years on that team. As graduation approached, she took the leap of faith and auditioned for CSU Golden Poms.

Lauren was the only freshmen to make the team her first year and continued her college journey with dancing all 4 years, including being a Captain her senior year. She was involved in the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority as well as served as a Ramette Coach.

Upon graduating from CSU with a Bachelors in Sociology-Criminal Justice, she was brought back as an interim coach for the Golden Poms and was invited to stay for five additional seasons as an assistant coach. Lauren is currently going into her fifth year as Head Coach of the CSU Golden Poms and is excited for another year at the BEST University in the nation.
