    Volunteer Coach - Multis & Pole Vault
Coach Bennett comes to Colorado State after numerous years of coaching privately and at the high school and college level. A native of Denver, Colorado, he began his college track career at Adams State University and finished at Colorado State University. After graduating from Colorado State with a degree in Finance and Economics, he worked in various capacities across Wall Street for nearly thirty years.

His coaching career begin at Charlotte Christian School in Charlotte, NC where he was responsible for coaching the hurdles, sprints, and throws. During his tenure at Charlotte Christian, he coached State Champions in the 100M, 200M 110H and 300H. In addition, he coached several throwers on to All- State honors in the shotput and discus. After moving back to Colorado last in 2022, he joined the coaching staff at Fossil Ridge High School where he was responsible for coaching the hurdles and the pole vault. Bennett is also the owner of Bennett Athletic Development, a private coaching practice focused on the jumps, hurdles and combined events. Numerous clients of Bennett Athletic Development have gone on to place in top three at the State meet in the sprints and hurdles. During the 2023-24 season, Coach Bennett was an Assistant Volunteer Coach at the University of Northen Colorado coaching the jumps and combined events. During the 2024-25 season, Coach Bennett was an Assistant Volunteer Coach at Colorado State University coaching the pole vault and combined events.

Coach Bennett is a USATF Certified Level 1 track coach and holds coaching certificates from ALTIS in the sprint hurdles, short sprints, and pole vault. He is also an active competitor in Masters Track and Field in the hurdles and combined events. Coach Bennett was the National Champion in his age group in the 100M hurdles at the 2019 Masters Outdoor Championships. He also had the opportunity to represent Team USA at the World Masters Indoor Championships in Torun, Poland in 2019 and the World Masters Outdoor Championships in Gottenburg, Sweden in 2024 in the Heptathlon and Decathlon, respectively. Last season, Coach Bennett placed second in the Masters Indoor Combined Championship (Heptathlon) and third in the Masters Outdoor Combined Event Championship (Decathlon).
