Football (1991 to 1994)

Anthoney Hill remains as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time at CSU and will always be known as the man who helped lead CSU to its first WAC championship in school history. A graduate of University City High School in San Diego, Hill’s offensive numbers might not fully tell the story of his leadership on the field. Both a passing and running quarterback, Hill set the school’s all-time total offense record at 7,428 upon graduation. He truly set a new standard for what a quarterback at CSU should be in the Sonny Lubick era and is highly regarded by many fans well after his playing days.

After his career at CSU, Hill went on to play one season in the Canadian Football League with the Edmonton Eskimos and then centered on a career in coaching. He returned to his high school alma mater as a quarterbacks coach and then came back to CSU as a student assistant. After earning his degree from CSU in 1999, Hill coached at various high schools and colleges in California before becoming the running backs coach and tight ends coach under Steve Fairchild at CSU. Hill returned to CSU in 2014 as passing coordinator and then became Director of Development and community/alumni relations under Coach Mike Bobo.
