Basketball Open House To Welcome Fans To Moby Arena

Fort Collins, Colo. ? Colorado State University basketball fans will get a sneak preview of the men?s and women?s team before the 2003-04 season during an open house celebration Saturday, Oct. 25.
The event will take place in Moby Arena from 10:30 a.m-12 noon. Men?s coach Dale Layer, who guided the Rams to the Mountain West Conference championship and the NCAA Tournament a year ago, will be on hand to introduce his team and put them through a brief scrimmage. Women?s coach will Chris Denker, whose team advanced to the WNIT semifinals last season, will introduce his team as well and conduct a brief scrimmage.
Fans will have a chance to meet the players on the floor following the workout and gather autographs.
Ram fans can also visit with any of a number of volunteers who will be in the arena about season ticket seat locations.
Ticket office personnel will be on duty to take season orders during the event.
?It?s a chance for us to show off two very successful teams and our entire basketball program,? said athletics director Mark Driscoll. ?Fans will have a chance to meet our student-athletes and coaches, and will be able to select their season ticket locations during the event.?
The Rams opened preseason basketball workouts Friday night, Oct. 17 at midnight, with more than 600 fans in attendance.
