Rams Lose On Buzzer Beater

Fort Collins, Colo. ? Matt Barnes? three-pointer at the buzzer handed visiting EA Sports an 82-80 win over Colorado State University Monday night in men?s exhibition basketball action in Moby Arena.
The Rams had taken an 80-79 lead with 40 seconds to play on Shelton Johnson?s driving layin, erasing an 11-point EA Sports lead in the second half.
The EA Sports West All-Stars guard, Quentin Hall led all scorers with 21 points on the night. Hall also added three offensive rebounds and two assists.
Junior forward Matt Williams led the way for Colorado State, shooting 8-10 from the floor and 2-2 from the free-throw line to finish with 18 points.
Junior Matt Nelson added 13 more points for the Rams on 6-8 shooting and recorded nine rebounds to lead all players.
With the loss Colorado State is now 0-1 in preseason play, while the EA Sports West All-Stars improve to 1-5.
Colorado State returns to action in a second and final exhibition game Monday night, Nov. 17, playing host to Northern Colorado at 7 p.m. in Moby Arena.
