Cure Signs With Track & Field

It was announced today that Idalia High School?s(Idalia, Colorado) Tonya Cure signed a National Letter of Intent today with the Colorado State Track and Field team.

Cure set a new state record in the 2A long jump this year with a jump of 18?4?. She also won the 800 meters at the state championship.

Cure holds Idalia High School records in the following categories: 100, 200, and 400 meters. She also holds school records in the 800 and 1600 meters, long jump and triple jump. If that is not enough, she also holds the pentathlon record and was a member of the record holding 4x400 and 4x800 relay teams.

Cure also played basketball and volleyball at Idalia, where she was a member of the All-Conference team in both. She will train as a multi-eventer for the Rams.
