Women's Golf Team in Second at Farr Memorial

Senior Kristen Campos fired a two-over-par 74 to lead Colorado State in the first day of the CU Heather Farr Memorial Invite on Monday. The Rams are sitting in second place, five strokes off team leader, San Jose State, with one round to play.
Campos, who is tied for eighth place individually, led the CSU scoring followed closely by Trisha Quick and Chelsea Benton, each coming in with rounds of three-over-par 75. The rounds of 75 rank in a tie for 12th individually.
Lynette Duran and Margaret Garehime rounded out the Rams? team scoring with a pair of five-over-par 77s on the day.
The Rams are one stroke in front of Nevada and lead fourth-place Colorado by two strokes heading into the final round.
Also playing in the tournament were CSU sophomore Megan Chapman (80) and senior Kylee King (84) who competed individually in the event.
CSU completes play in the tournament on Tuesday at the Omni Interlocken Resort Golf Club in Broomfield, Colo.
