Ram Golf Finishes 11th at Las Vegas Showdown

CSU seniors Trisha Quick and Lynette Duran each fired a one-over-par 73 in the third round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown to lead the Rams to an 11th-place finish in the tournament.
The Rams finished the event at 44-over with a three-day total of 908. Quick and Margaret Garehime paced the CSU scoring each with 10-over-par 226s putting the duo in a tie for 27th in the tournament.
Duran finished third on the team with a 227 while Kristen Campos and Chelsea Benton recorded a 232 and 240, respectively.
UNLV took the team title with an 11-over 875 while Rebel Hwanhee Lee shot a tournament-best 215 to claim individual honors.
The 11th-place finish marks the first time this season that CSU has finished out of the top five in a tournament.
The Rams will be off until March 8 when they compete in the Spartan Invitational.
