Women?s Golf Falls Two Spots

The women?s golf team fell two spots today into fifth place at the Mountain West Conference Championship after recording a team score of 302. The Rams have a two-round total of 596, 16 strokes off the leader UNLV.
The Rebels hold just a one-stroke advantage over New Mexico.
Junior Lynette Duran continued to shine for the Rams today. Duran finished the day tied for eighth place after recording a 74. She is now three-over for the tournament at 145.
Also playing well for the Rams was Trisha Quick who held onto her spot in a tie for 11th overall. Quick fired a second round 74 today, one better than yesterday, giving her a total of 149. Dawna Virdell was the team?s next best finisher. Virdell is one stroke back of Quick at 150, tying her for 13th. Virdell carded a second round score of 77.
Margaret Garehime finished the day in a tie for 22nd. She matched her score from yesterday, 77, giving her 36-hole total of 154. Kristen Campos rounds out the field for the Rams. Campos carded an 81, placing her in a tie for 24th. < p="">Margaret Gibby of BYU currently holds onto the top spot. Gibby is at 140 after back-to-back scores of 70. She is two strokes ahead of both Katrina Leckovic and Shannon Johnson, both of New Mexico.
