Men?s Golf Wins Cougar Classic

The Colorado State men?s golf team won the Cougar Classic for the third consecutive season.
Senior Martin Laird fired an 8-under-par 64 in the final round of the tournament to tie for first place after regulation. Unfortunately for the Rams, Laird lost the tournament during sudden death playoff holes. Laird won the tournament last season.
The Rams tallied a 272 in the final 18 holes of the Cougar Classic. The Rams finished the tournament 19-under-par as a team.
Senior Nolan Martin also placed in the top-five. Martin finished in fourth place at 207, only one stroke behind Laird.
The Rams will return to action April 29-May 1 as they head to Sunriver, Ore. to compete in the 2004 Mountain West Conference Championship.
