Ram Track and Field Gains National Attention

The Colorado State Rams earned a No. 1 ranking for the throwing program by TrackShark.com for the 2004 Division I outdoor track and field season.
The ranking was based on a point system that combined all the marks set in all throwing events throughout the season. The Rams finished with a team score of 31.6.
Leading the way for Colorado State was Senior Loree Smith. Smith was honored as the 2004 Mondo District Athlete of the Year. She has already set the school?s record for the hammer throw this season with a mark of 220-0 (67.05m). Her record throw qualified her for the NCAA Regional Meet in College Station, Tex. This weekend.
