Three Rams Named All-American Scholars

The Division I, II and III National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Teams were annonced today with 318 women's collegiate golfers being recognized with this prestigious honor. The Colorado State women's golf team had three players recognized as All-American Scholars.
Junior Kristen Campos, senior Stephanie Linnell and senior Dawna Virdell all earned honors for the Rams. Campos is an accounting major from Mesa, Ariz. while Linnell is a senior health and exercise science major from Burlington, Wash. and Virdell is a senior chemical engineering major from Llano, Tex.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 (3.40 for Seniors in Division II and III) and student-athletes must have competed in at least 66 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
