Rocky Mountain Showdown Starts with Golf

On Wednesday Sept. 1, 60 loyal Ram Boosters and Friends of Colorado State University will challenge 60 University of Colorado Fans as a warm-up to the CSU vs. CU Football weekend. The event is the 10th Annual CSU vs. CU Golf Challenge, which takes place at the Vista Ridge Golf Club in Erie, Colo. The participation from both schools directly benefits the CSU and CU men?s golf teams.
The day kicks off at 7:30 a.m. with registration and a continental breakfast, followed by a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The event closes with 1 p.m. cocktails and a barbeque, including a trophy presentation. The format of the event is a two person, net best ball, match play tournament. Each match is worth three points and a full certified handicap is allowed.
