Senior Josh Glaab Finishes 13th at Pre-NCAA

Pre-NCAA results: Senior Josh Glaab continues to lead the way for the Rams cross country team. He finished in 13th place overall at the Pre-NCAA meet in Terre Haute, Ind. This meet was host to some of the top teams in the nation where front-runner Glaab continued to shine.
Sophomore April Thomas crossed the line first for the women with a 6,000-meter time of 21:42; she was 57th overall. Behind Thomas was junior Danielle Korb with a time of 21:58. Fellow teammate sophomore Heather Loseke came in next, 96th overall, with a time of 22:07, followed by freshman Chantelle Dron, 100th place, with a time of 22:08. Freshman Kirsten Anthony was the fifth runner for the Rams coming in at 22:15, and 110th overall.
Junior Rob Watson followed Glaab with a time of 24:41, finishing 46th overall. Senior Paul Michel followed him coming in 105th, with a time of 25:15. Freshman Scott Sanders was directly behind Michel in 106th place and a time of 25:16. Freshman Jeff Wahl was the fifth runner in 118th place with a time of 25:21.
The men's team placed 12th out of 34 teams, while the women's team placed 15th, also out of 34 teams. The men finished with 388 points, while the women had 450 team points.
The University of Colorado won the men's race with five runners in the top-30, and the University of Michigan won for the women with five runners in the top-25.
Next up: The Rams will host the 2005 Mountain West Conference Championship meet in Fort Collins, Colo., on Oct. 29, 2005.
