Ram Tennis Finishes First Day of Air Force Invitational

Today the Colorado State women's tennis team played the first rounds of the Air Force Invitational.
Junior Emily Kirchem and sophomore Anne Andersen finished the day 2-1, defeating the Air Force duo of Bushey and Abayan in an 8-2 match and Sedivec and Torres Torres of Colorado in an 8-5 match. They lost to Colorado's Milewski and Vanderys in the second round, 8-3.
Greer Satherlie and Lauren Strasburger notched their first collegiate win as a pair over Kiser and Kostrubala of Air Force in an 8-3 match after losing two matches earlier that day to Wyoming and UNC.
Carla Pallares and Jessica Jones lost all three of their matches to two Air Force pairs and a Witchita State pair, while Courtney Akel and Jasmin Singh lost to Kiser and Kostrubala of Air Force in a close 9-7 match in their only match of the day.
The Rams play one more round of doubles Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m., then begin the singles tournament where two rounds will be played. Two more singles rounds will be played to finish the tournament on Sunday.
