Colorado State will travel to Albuquerque, N.M. for the Lobo Invitational on Nov. 4-5. The Rams will also compete in a dual meet with New Mexico during the Lobo Invitational. The Rams and the Lobos will only score the top three in each event in a standard dual meet scoring format.

Meet Date Change...
The dual meet with Northern Colorado has been moved to Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. MT. The meet has been moved to accommodate the induction of John Mattos into the Colorado State Athletic Hall of Fame.

Mattos and Elliot Honored...
Head Coach John Mattos and former Colorado State standout Kristin Elliot will be honored with the 2005 Hall of Fame Class on Nov. 11, 2005. Other Hall of Fame inductees include Mattias Borrman (Track and Field), Lavern (Nick) Kohls (Football and Wrestling), Sarah (Fredstrom) Secrest (Softball), and Brady Smith (Football). The other Hall of Honor inductee is Brian Bedard (Track).

Kristin (Elliot) Fox competed in swimming at Colorado State from 1992-97. Over her four-year career at CSU she was honored as a four-time letterwinner, three-time Academic All-WAC performer. Elliot was part of the WAC-winning 200 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley honoree. She holds six WAC records and, in 1996, was named WAC Swimmer of the Year. She also holds the records for the 100 and 200 backstrokes and was a five-time All-American.

John Mattos, a Hall of Honor award winner, is heading into his 26th year as the current swimming coach and second season as the water polo coach. Since he started in 1981, Mattos' athletes have set 101 school records. He has also coached 13 All-Americans, eight honorable mention All-Americans, eight Academic All-Americans and has taken 65 student-athletes to the NCAA Championships. Mattos was named NCAA Division I Coach of the Year in 1994. He was also the assistant coach for the U.S. World Championship team and later the Head Coach of the National Junior Elite Training Camp team for Olympic development. During his time as an athlete at Colorado State he was a conference champion and an NCAA All-American finalist in both the 100 and 200 backstroke.
