The Colorado State volleyball team fell to third-ranked Washington in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, 30-21, 30-25, 30-18 in front of 1,842 fans in Moby Arena. The Rams end their season at 21-9, while Washington improves to 28-1 and will face Purdue in the regional semifinals.

Senior outside hitter Tess Rogers led the Rams with 11 kills, while senior middle blocker Dre Downs was next with eight kills and two blocks. Junior libero Katherine Whitney led the squad with eight digs and sophomore right-side hitter Tonya Mokelki led the match with three aces.

"We played a very, very good team," said CSU head coach Tom Hilbert. "They are incredibly low error and very balanced. We've got some good players on this team too and they had good nights."

Outside hitter Christal Morrison led the Huskies with 19 kills, while right-side hitter Sanja Tomasevic had 15 kills and outside hitter Brie Hagerty chipped in 10 kills and hit .529. Middle blocker Darla Myhre led the team with seven digs and libero Candace Lee had a match-high 11 digs.

Colorado State falls to 16-17 all-time in NCAA matches after advancing to its 11th straight tournament this season. The Rams are also 11-2 in NCAA matches in Moby Arena.
