At UNLV: The Rams will face UNLV on Feb. 17, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nev. The Rams lead the all-time series 14-6 and are 6-4 in Las Vegas. Colorado Staet defeated UNLV 69-66 in the first meeting this season at Moby Arena.
Kramer Shooting Well: Liz Kramer came off the bench vs. Brigham Young in the second half and scored eight points in only nine minutes. Kramer is now shooting .406 from three-point range this season, tops on the team.
Espinoza Hot & Cold: Vanessa Espinoza is averaging 12.3 points and 4.5 assists in the Rams four conference wins. Her assist/turnover ratio in the coference wins is 1.38. In the four conference losses, Espinoza is averaging 3.3 points and 2.3 assists. Her assist/turnover ratio in the losses is 0.64.
Student-Athletes To Be Honored: Colorado State will honor the school?s outstanding student-athletes at halftime of the women?s basketball game on March 3, 2005 vs. New Mexico. The honorees will include the Rams top academic performers for the fall of 2004.
Feb. 17: Colorado State is 2-5 all-time on Feb. 17 and 0-2 in road games on this date.
Career Leaders From The Field: Melissa Dennett and Lindsay Thomas rank third and fourth all-time in field goal percentage at Colorado State. Dennett is shooting .533 from the field and Thomas is making .523 of her shot attempts. Only six other players in school history have finished their careers making more than 50 percent of their shots.
Espinoza From Deep: Vanessa Espinoza has now made 93 three-point baskets in her career and needs only seven to reach 100. Only nine other players at Colorado State have made 100 threes.
Denker Reaches 50: Chris Denker now has 50 wins at Colorado State with the 61-51 win over Wyoming on Jan. 28, 2005. Only Tom Collen (129), Greg Williams (109) and Ann Matlock (78) have more career wins at Colorado State. Tom Collen is fastest coach to get to 50 wins accomplishing the feat in 57 games. Greg Williams reached 50 wins in 113 games and Ann Matlock tallied her 50th win after 115 games. Denker tallied 50 wins in only 81 games.
The First Meeting In 2005: Colorado State knocked off UNLV 69-66 in the first meeting this season on a Melissa Dennett put-back and free throw with 3.3 seconds left in the game.

Hunter Back On Track: Sara Hunter scored 12 points in the game vs. Wyoming on Jan. 28 on 4-of-4 shooting from three-point range. She had scored 14 points in her previous seven games combined.
Hunter Moving Up Lists: Sara Hunter has now made 27 three-point shots in her freshman season. She is on pace for 38 this season which would rank her third most as a freshman.
Dennett 20+: Melissa Dennett is the first player since Becky Hammon to score 20 points in three consecutive games. Dennett scored 22 vs. San Diego State, 20 vs. UNLV and 22 vs. Wyoming. Hammon scored 20+ points in the last three games of her career.
The Turnover Game: The Rams have had only four games this season in which they have recorded more assists than turnovers (vs. Iona, at Colorado, vs. Tennessee-Martin, vs. UNLV). The Rams are 3-1 in those games. The win over Wyoming was the first time the Rams committed the same number of assists as turnovers, 17.
No Soup For You: Lindsay Thomas set a career-high with five blocks vs. Denver on Jan. 4. She now has 35 blocks for the season putting her on pace for 47. She has blocked more shots as a junior than any other player in school history. The single-season record for blocks is 48 set by Teresa James during the 1992-93 season. Thomas has blocked 62 shots in her career and is seventh on the all-time blocks list. She is only six blocks away from moving into third all-time. Melissa Dennett is right behind Thomas in career blocks in a tie for eighth with 61.
Conference Home Win Streak Snapped: Colorado State had won eight straight conference home games before falling to Brigham Young. Prior to the loss to the Cougars, the last time the Rams suffered a loss at home to a conference foe was on Jan. 17, 2004 to Utah by a score of 55-51.
Double-Doubles Record: The Rams are 8-3 in games this season when a Colorado State player records a double-double.
Thomas Double-Doubles: Lindsay Thomas collected her ninth double-double of the season vs. UNLV on Jan. 22, 2005. She now has 13 double-doubles in her career. The record for the most double-doubles in a career is held by Teresa James with 37.
Dennett Doubles Up: Melissa Dennett had 22 points and 13 rebound in the 63-50 win over San Diego State on Jan. 20. This marks her seventh career double-double and the fifth this season. She narrowly missed her sixth double-double of the season versus Wyoming on Jan. 28, scoring 22 points and pulling down 8 boards in the 61-51 victory.
Dennett Scoring First: The Rams are 7-2 in games that Melissa Dennett scores the first points for Colorado State this season. Colorado State is 6-6 when any player other than Dennett tallies the first points for the Rams.
Scoring Slump: Colorado State has failed to get over the 70 point mark in the last 11 games. The Rams are averaging 65.7 points per game this season. Colorado State is averaging only 57.0 points in conference games this season.
Stepping Up The D: The Rams are allowing the 59.4 points a game this season, ranking third all-time in scoring defense. In fact, Colorado State has had three of the top six seasons defensively since Denker has taken over as head coach of the Rams.
From Three: Colorado State has had four opponents attempt 29 or more threes in a game this season. Entering the 2004-05 campaign the Rams had only three teams attempt 29 or more threes in a game all-time.
Scoring Before the Half: Eleven times this season the Rams have scored with under four seconds remaining in the first half. The Rams have gone on to win nine of those games.
Starting Lineup: Chris Denker mixed up his starting lineup in the game vs. San Diego State Annika Walseth replaced Kylee O?Dwyer in the starting rotation. Melissa Dennett has started in 49 consecutive games. She is the only Ram to start every game of the last two seasons. Vanessa Espinoza has started in the next most consecutive games with 31. Lindsay Thomas has started in 18 consecutive games followed by Molly Nohr with 13 and Annika Walseth with six starts.
At The Half: Colorado State is 38-6 under Denker when leading at the half. Conversely, the Rams are 13-23 when they go into halfitime tied or trailing.
60 Is The Magic Number - Part 1: The Rams are 11-1 when holding opponents to under 60 points and 2-7 when allowing more than 60 points this season.
60 Is The Magic Number - Part 2: Colorado State is 13-1 when scoring more than 60 points and 0-7 when they are held to less than 60.
Third Time Is A Charm: Three times this season the Rams had two players record a double-double in the same game. Lindsay Thomas and Melissa Dennett teamed up to record double-doubles in all three games. Thomas had 13 points and 12 rebounds and Dennett scored 15 points and grabbed 10 boards in the season opener vs. San Francisco. Against UAB, Dennett scored 25 points and had 15 rebounds while Thomas added 20 points and snagged 10 rebounds. Dennett scored 21 points and had 10 rebounds at Montana and Thomas added 10 points and 11 rebounds. It is the first time that the same two players have recorded double-doubles in three games in the same season since Janie Schieffelin and Sue Ellis did it during the 1978-79 season. Colorado State has never had the same two players record double-doubles in four games in a single season.
Rams Picked Fourth: According to the Mountain West Conference coaches poll released on October 24 the Rams are predicted to finish fourth in the Mountain West this year. The Rams received 92 points. The team finished fourth in the Mountain West a year ago. 2003-2004 WNIT runner-up UNLV is picked to finish first, New Mexico was picked second and Utah was picked third.
The Three-Point Basket: Colorado State is shooting .318 from three-point range on the season. The Rams are shooting .385 (77-200) in the team?s 13 wins compared to .198 (22-111) in the eight losses.
Home Sweet Home: The Rams are 38-9 under Coach Denker at Moby Arena. The Rams have had seven straight seasons with double figure wins at home. The Rams average 70.4 points per game at home compared to 61.1 on the road while allowing an average of 57.1 at home compared to 64.8 on the road.
Starting Freshman: Freshman Sara Hunter has started 10 games this season for the Rams. She has started more games as a freshman than any player since Ashley Augspurger (15) and Lisa Narkiewicz (14) during the 1999-2000 season.
Fan Support: Colorado State has had at least 1,000 fans attend each of the last 144 home games. The last time the Rams played at home in front of fewer than 1,000 fans was Jan. 5, 1996 when Colorado State faced Idaho State. The Rams are 10-2 at home this season.
Tripled Up: CSU has made at least one three-pointer in its last 94 games, dating back to an 0-for-14 performance against San Diego State on Jan. 17, 2002. The Rams have also sunk at least one trey in 326 of the last 327 games, dating back to Nov. 25, 1994 against Penn.
Crashing The Glass: When Colorado State wins the battle on the boards, the Rams are 13-0. The Rams have not won a game this season when total rebounds has been equal or in the opponents favor. The Rams outrebound their opponents by an average of 15.2 boards a game in their wins and are outrebounded by 6.2 in their losses. The Rams average 46.5 rebounds in their wins and only 32.5 in their losses.
Opponent Threes: Colorado State has had four games this year where the opponent has launched at least 29 three-point attempts (at Northern Colorado - 48, vs. Wyoming - 41, vs. San Diego State - 29, New Mexico - 30). Colorado State had only three games ever prior to this that an opponent had taken more than 29 three-point attempts. The Rams are 6-1 in all of those games.
Block Party: Colorado State has recorded at least one blocked shot in the last 42 games dating back to Dec. 11, 2003 at Denver. The Rams combined for 95 blocks during the 2003-04 season, which ranks fifth on the CSU single-season chart. The record for blocks in a season is 111 by the 1999-2000 team. Colorado State has 80 blocks this season and is on pace for 107.
High Averages: Lindsay Thomas, Melissa Dennett and Vanessa Espinoza are all in the top-15 in scoring average in the Mountain West. Dennett is sixth (14.7), Thomas is eighth (12.9) and Espinoza is 11th on the list (11.5). Wyoming is the only other Mountain West team to have three players in the top-15 in scoring.
A Perferct 10 (11): Lindsay Thomas became the only player in school history to finish a game perfect from the field with a minimum of 10 attempts. Thomas went 11-of-11 from the field against Tennessee-Martin on Dec. 21. The next best was set by Melissa Dennett versus Wyoming on Jan. 28. Dennett went 9-of-10 (.900) for 22 points.
Leading Blocker: Lindsay Thomas is leading the Mountain West Conference in blocked shots this season with 35, 10 ahead of Ellen Jaeschke of Air Force. Melissa Dennett is fifth on the list with 23 blocked shots this season.
Scoring Streak: Lindsay Thomas has scored at least one point in 82 straight games for the Rams. In fact, the only game of her career that Thomas did not score in was her second game vs. USC on Nov. 17, 2002. The next closest scoring streak is 53 by Melissa Dennett followed by Vanessa Espinoza with a 48-game scoring streak.
High Percentage: Melissa Dennett and Lindsay Thomas are both in the top three in field goal percentage in the MWC. Dennett is tops in the conference shooting .559 from the field and Thomas is third at .536. Kristen Kozlowski from Brigham Young is the only other player in the conference to shoot better tham .500 from the field this season (.554).
Rebounding Machines: Lindsay Thomas and Melissa Dennett are fourth and fifth in the Mountain West Conference for rebounds per game, respectively. No other school has two players in the top tive.
Joinning The Team In 2005-06: Head Coach Chris Denker announced on Nov. 10 that the Rams have signed three players to National Letters of Intent for the 2005-06 season.
