Rams To Compete In Mountain View Intercollegiate

The Rams travel to Tucson, Ariz., for the Mountain View Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Arizona. The tournament begins Saturday, March 26, and concludes Sunday, March 27 at Mountain View Golf Course in Tucson, Ariz. Mountain View Golf Course is a 5,982 yards, par 72 course set against the western slopes of the Santa Catalina Mountains.
This year?s tournament field consists of sixteen teams. In addition to Colorado State, teams include Colorado, Boise State, Denver, Idaho, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, Missouri, Nebraska, Northern Arizona, Northwestern, Portland State, San Jose State, and Washington State.
The Rams competed last year at the Mountain View, where they recorded a three-round 902 (+38) en route to a tie for second place. Kristen Campos led the Rams with a three-round 220 (+4), which included a second-round 69, her low score of the season. She finished tied for fifth. Trisha Quick finished tied for 25th with a 227 (+11). Lynette Duran and Margaret Garehime tied for 37th, shooting 230 (+14).
The Rams are coming off a third-place finish at the UC Irvine Anteater Invitational with a team score of 924 last week. The Rams carded rounds of 304 (+16), 313 (+25), and 307 (+19).
Kristen Campos led the Rams with a 12-over 228 after shooting a one-over 73 in the final round, the Rams? low score of the tournament. Campos? score was good for a sixth-place finish overall in the tournament.
Two rounds of the Mountain View will be played Saturday, with an 8 a.m. MST shotgun start. The tournament concludes with a one round shotgun start at 8 a.m. MST Sunday. Results will be available each night at CSURAMS.com.
