Ram Women Win Final Home Game

The Colorado State women?s basketball team rolled past Air Force 75-40 in the last game of the regular season on Saturday afternoon at Moby arena in front of 1,443 fans. On senior day, the Rams? only senior, Msur Tor-Adbidye set or tied six personal bests including her 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting and a game-high eleven rebounds and five blocked shots and recorded the first double-double of her career.
After taking a 33-16 lead into the half, the Rams used a 26-4 run to open up the second half and put the game out of reach. During that stretch, freshman Sarah Hunter went 3-for-3 from deep, and finished the game hitting 4-of-5 from three-point range with 12 points and a career-high seven assists. She now ranks third on the all-time CSU charts for three-pointers made by a freshman with 40, behind Becky Hammon and Elizabeth English.
Ten Rams scored in the game, four in double digits. Junior Melissa Dennett had a game-high 15 points. She also added eight rebounds and two blocked shots. Lindsay Thomas added 10 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore Liz Kramer scored nine points in 18 minutes off of the bench. Junior Vanessa Espinoza was held scoreless for the first time in 53 games.
Colorado State held Air Force to just 25.4 percent shooting for the game, while hitting at a 49.2 percent clip and out-rebounded the Falcons by a 48-33 margin.
The Rams will play BYU at 8:30 p.m. Wednsday at Pepsi Center in Denver in a matchup of the No. 3 and No. 6 seeds at the Mountain West Conference Tournament.
