Men?s basketball coach Dale Layer announced Thursday a third and final national letter of intent signee, who will join Colorado State University?s men?s basketball team as a freshman for the 2005-06.

? The Rams signed 6-foot, 11-inch, 245-pound center Ronnie Aguilar from John Marshall High in Los Angeles. Aguilar averaged 13 points and nine rebounds per game. In his final prep game of the year, Aguilar scored 28 points and had 13 rebounds.

?We were very fortunate to have an opportunity to have a player with Ronnie?s abilities join our program in the spring,? said Layer. ?He is a tireless worker who is committed to improving his skills every day.?

Wednesday, Layer announced two signees on the first day prospective student-athletes can sign letters of intent during the spring to enroll at prospective institutions.

The group included a pair of guards and a center, Layer said.

? Chris Harris, a 5-foot, 11-inch guard from Meridian, Miss. Harris averaged 12 points and 8 assists per game as a senior at Meridian High and led his team to the state?s Class 5A championship game. Meridian lost in the finals and finished the season with a 31-6 record. Harris was an all-state and all-conference selection as a senior.

?Chris is an excellent player who is a great competitor,? said Layer. ?He has a point guard?s mentality. He gets his team into the offense, and works to set up his teammates for open shots. He is going to be a valuable asset to our program.?

? Kyle Victoria, a 6-foot, 3-inch guard from Elton, La., High School, who averaged 29 points, six rebounds and five assists per game as a senior. Elton was a first-team all-state performer. He was selected to play in a pair of all-star games following his senior season: The Texas-Louisiana All-Star Game, and the Louisiana All-State Game. Victoria was also chosen as the regional player of the year.

?Kyle is a very skilled player who will fit in well in our system,? said Layer. ?He had a great senior season, and we?re anxious to have him as part of our program.?

The trio joins four players who signed letters of intent during the NCAA?s ?early? signing period last November. At that time, 6-foot, 10-inch forward Michael Harrison, 6-foot, 7-inch forward C.J. Clark, 6-foot, 3-inch guard Stephan Gilling, and 6-foot, 1-inch guard Corey Lewis signed letters of intent. Harrison, who grew up in Denver, led Northeastern Junior College in Sterling to the national tournament and was named to the All-American team after earning most valuable player honors in the regional tournament. Lewis is a point guard who averaged in double figures in scoring at Dodge City Junior College, while Clark was an all-star performer at Cypress Springs High in Houston, Tex. Gilling is from Ayala High in Chino Hills, Calif., who averaged more than 20 points per game as a senior in 2005.
