Track & Field Signs Four

The Colorado State track and field program today announced the signing of four student-athletes to National Letters of Intent. All four will enroll at Colorado State in the fall of 2005.

Kaylie Brooks, Albuquerque, New Mexico (Manzano High School)
Brooks was the 2004 silver medalist in the 100 meters at the New Mexico State High School Championship, running a 12.37. She also finished fourth in the 200 meters and is on the team?s 4x400 meter relay team this season.

David Eischeid, Longmont, Colorado (Longmont High School)
Eischeid was recently named the Most Valuable Athlete at the Boulder County Track and Field Championships for the second straight season after winning the long jump (22-9), triple jump (44-9.5), the 200 meters and finishing fourth in the 100 meters. At the state championship last year Eischeid placed third in the long jump.

Zachary Jordan, Loveland, Colorado (Thompson Valley High School)
Jordan finished seventh in the 110 meter hurdles at the Colorado state championship last season, running a 14.54, then ran on both the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relay teams, the latter of which finished seventh as well.

Scott Sanders, Brookings Harbor, Oregon (Brookings-Harbor High School)
Sanders is the two-time 3A state champion in cross country for the state of Oregon and won both the 1500 and 3000 meter championships in 2004. He currently has the best times in the state for 2005 in both the 1500 and 3000 at the 3A level.

The signing period continues until May 18 for both men?s and women?s basketball and until August 1 for all the other sports except football.
