CSU Tennis Advances Three to Round 2 of Singles

Senior Emily Kirchem defeated Karine Boyrdages of Utah, 6-1, 6-2. Sophomore Lauren Strasburger defeated Cheyenne Reveche of Utah, 6-1, 6-2. Freshman Laura Neal defeated Montana's Mari Castello, 6-2, 6-3. All three players advance to the second round of the main draw which begins tomorrow.
Junior Hilary Tyler was defeated by Jana Mackova of Boise State, 2-6, 6-4, 6-1, and will most likely compete in a consolation match.
"We picked it up today," head coach Jon Messick commented. "We had a solid effort, and have some good shots for tomorrow."
