Women's Basketball Preseason Poll Announced

The Colorado State University women's basketball team was picked to finish ninth in the Mountain West Conference preseason poll.
The poll of conference coaches and selected women's basketball media was released Thursday morning at the Basketball Media Day held at the Alladin Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev.
The Rams, who will feature two starters from last season and seven incoming freshman, received 36 total points in the poll.
New Mexico was tabbed as the preseason favorite with 137 points and eight first-place votes. BYU was ranked second with seven first-place votes and 134 total points, followed by TCU with 126 points and four first-place nods. Utah (102), Wyoming (96), UNLV (71), San Diego State (41) and Air Force (36) were selected 4th through 8th, respectively.
The Rams open up the regular season at Moby Arena on Nov. 13 against UMKC at 7 p.m. Conference season opens with the Rams on the road against Air Force on Jan. 4 at 7 p.m.
