Whitney Honored For Grades

Colorado State volleyball senior Katherine Whitney was today named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Volleyball Third Team.

Whitney, a senior outside hitter from Boulder, Colo., has started all but one match this season for the Rams, averaging 2.96 kills and 2.76 digs per game. In just three years with the Rams, Whitney has etched her name onto the career digs list, currently ranking 16th with 794 digs and she holds the career dig average, getting over three per game. She has a 3.73 GPA with a major in Sociology.

The ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American Awards are voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Colorado State's district is comprised of all Division I teams from Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota.
