  • BYU is now 11-5 in Mountain West Tournament games, while the Rams move to 7-6. The No. 1 seed in the tournament is now 13-3 and has never lost in the first round. The Cougars are 6-1 in quarterfinal games, dropping only the 2004 first round contest to UNLV.

  • Colorado State shot .529 from the field in the first half, the fifth time in the last nine halves the Rams have shot 50% or better from the field.

  • This is the first game in the 2006 Mountain West Tournament that no players have scored in double figures in the first half.

  • In the last meeting between BYU and Colorado State, the Rams recorded a season-low nine turnovers. In the first half tonight, BYU forced 14 CSU turnovers.
