  • BYU is now 11-5 in Mountain West Tournament games, while the Rams move to 7-6. The No. 1 seed in the tournament is now 13-3 and has never lost in the first round. The Cougars are 6-1 in quarterfinal games, dropping only the 2004 first round contest to UNLV.

  • Colorado State shot .529 from the field in the first half, the fifth time in the last nine halves the Rams have shot 50% or better from the field.

  • This is the first game in the 2006 Mountain West Tournament that no players have scored in double figures in the first half.

  • In the last meeting between BYU and Colorado State, the Rams recorded a season-low nine turnovers. In the first half tonight, BYU forced 14 CSU turnovers.   • The Cougars started the second-half on a 13-0 run, while Colorado State missed its first nine shots of the second stanza.

  • This is the 14th game this season and the 26th time in her career that BYU senior forward Ambrosia Anderson has scored 20 or more points. She has led the Cougars in scoring in all but four games this season.

  • In four MWC Tournament games prior to 2006, Colorado State senior Vanessa Espinoza had scored 21 points. In the two games this season, Espinoza scored 38, leading the team both nights with 23 and 15, respectively.

  • The Rams shot .875 (14-16) from the free throw line, the eighth best single-game performance in a Mountain West Tournament game.

  • The 15 steals by BYU is the second-most by a team in a Mountain West Tournament game (17, UNLV vs. Utah, 3/6/02).
