  • The No. 1 seed in the men's MWC Tournament has lost only once in the quarterfinals, when Air Force was defeated by Colorado State in the 2004 Tournament (5-1, the No. 1 seed received a bye in the 2001 tournament).

  • San Diego State is 5-5 in Mountain West Tournament games, while Colorado State is 5-6.

  • Colorado State junior guard Cory Lewis and junior center Michael Harrison combined to score the Rams first 11 points of the game. Harrison ended the game with a team-best 24, while Lewis scored seven.

  • The 36 shots by San Diego State in the first half is the most in any half by any team in a Mountain West Tournament game.

  • In the two regular season meetings, Colorado State combined for four blocked shots, while in the first half of today's contest, the Rams had five blocks.

  • Colorado State tied the Mountain West Tournament game for blocked shots with 10. (10, Wyoming vs. San Diego State, 2001). Harrison also broke the individual record for blocked shots in a game with six, breaking the old record of five, held by Danny Granger, New Mexico vs. San Diego State, 2005 and Josh Davis, Wyoming vs. San Diego State, 2001.

  • San Diego State junior forward Marcus Slaughter recorded the 14th double-double of the season and the 27th of his career with 17 points and 17 rebounds. Junior guard Brandon Heath has now been in double figures in scoring in his last 22 games, scoring 16.

  • Slaughter broke the Mountain West Tournament single-game record for rebounds, grabbing 19. (17, Andrew Bogut, Utah vs. Colorado State, 2005; 17, Kaspars Kambala, UNLV vs. San Diego State, 2000).

  • San Diego State capitalized on Colorado State's turnovers, scoring 21 of its 64 points off CSU turnovers, while the Rams scored just five points off the seven Aztec turnovers.

  • SDSU became just the third team in Mountain West Tournament history to record more offensive than defensive rebounds in a contest, grabbing 24 offensive and 18 defensive rebounds. New Mexico had 19 offensive and 17 defensive rebounds in the game against BYU in 2001 and Wyoming recorded 21 offensive and 19 defensive rebounds in the game against Air Force in 2002.
