Davis, Calif. - The Colorado State water polo team suffered a pair of losses in the final day of the UC Davis Shootout Sunday. The Rams (14-20) lost to UC Santa Cruz 4-3 and suffered a 14-6 loss to No. 14 UC San Diego.

The Rams led 2-0 after one period and held a 3-1 advantage at halftime but UC Santa Cruz posted a goal in the third and two more in the fourth while holding the Rams off the scoreboard for the entire second half to earn the come-from-behind victory. Annie Quinn had two goals and Marisa Fernandez added one in the loss. Holly Stanfill was solid in goal turning away 14 Slug shots.

In the nightcap, CSU trailed 2-1 before UC San Diego scored seven goals in the second to put the game out of reach. Freshman Monica Schuh led CSU with three goals while Quinn had two and Fernandez added one. Stanfill and Andrea Lugo had one save each in the game.

CSU will host Colorado College in its final home game of the year next Saturday at 1 p.m. at Edora Pool Ice Center (EDORA) in Fort Collins.
