MWC Announces Basketball and Volleyball Television Schedules

Colorado Springs, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference announced the 2006-07 volleyball and men's and women's basketball television broadcast schedules for television partners CSTV, the mtn. and Versus today. CSU men's basketball will appear on television 17 times throughout the year while the women's basketball team will play twice and the volleyball team will appear four times.
Two of Colorado State's men's basketball non-conference games, versus Boise State and Kansas State, will be broadcast via the mtn. The Rams host Boise State on Monday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. and host Kansas State on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 3 p.m.
CSU men's hoops will also be featured 15 times in its 16-game Mountain West Conference Schedule including all eight of its league home games. CSU will play on the mtn. in 13 league contests while being featured nationally on CSTV on Jan. 13 at San Diego State and on Feb. 3 versus New Mexico.
The Ram women's basketball team will be featured on the mtn. on Thursday, Feb. 1 at UNLV and again on Sunday, Feb. 25 at Wyoming. The UNLV game will be a 7 p.m. PT tip-off while the Wyoming contest will begin at 3 p.m. MT.
CSU volleyball will be broadcast by the mtn. four times in the 2006 season. All four matches will tape delayed and will air at a later date. CSU's matches against Utah on Sept. 15 and at BYU on Sept. 16 will be aired on Sep. 17 with the BYU match re-airing on Sep. 20 and Sep. 22. CSU's match at Wyoming on Oct. 1 will be shown on Oct. 3 and the Rams' lone televised match at home will be Friday, Nov. 17 against BYU, airing at 7 p.m. MT on Nov. 21.
The Mountain West Conference broadcast partners will host a total of 99 nationally or regionally televised men's basketball games, up from 28 a year ago. In women's basketball, the MWC will be featured 32 times, surpassing its previous high of 12 games last season.
