Women's Tennis Departs for Pacific Palisades

The Colorado State Women's Tennis team will travel to California to compete in the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships, beginning on Saturday. Senior Emily Kirchem (2-1-Singles, 2-1-Doubles), and Junior Hilary Tyler (1-0-Singles) will represent the Rams in the tournament.

For singles and doubles play, pre-qualifying runs Saturday and Sunday. The tournament is single elimination and Kirchem will need to win three matches in singles pre-qualifying to advance to qualifying, beginning on Tuesday. Kirchem and Tyler will need to win three matches in doubles competition to advance to Tuesday's qualifying as well.

The main draw for singles and doubles competition begins on Thursday and continues through October 8th.

"This is a really good opportunity to play nationally ranked players and get into national rankings," head coach Jon Messick commented.
