CSU Has Tough Day at Riviera/ITA All-American Championships

Pacific Palisades, Calif-The Colorado State Women's Tennis team finished competition in the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships today with a 0-2 record.
In singles play, Senior Emily Kirchem was defeated by Old Dominion's Charleen Haarhoff, 6-4, 6-4.
In doubles play, Emily Kirchem and Lauren Strasburger fell to Alex Haney and Fanu Chifchieza of Auburn, 8-4.
"We played well and had our chances," head coach Jon Messick commented. "We just didn't get the points we needed."
This first weekend of play is single elimination; consequently, both Kirchem and Strasburger are finished competing.
The tournament resumes again tomorrow morning, and continues through October 8th.

Charleen Haarhoff (Old Dominion) def. Emily Kirchem (CSU); 6-4, 6-4
Haney/Chifchieza (Auburn) def. Kirchem/Strasburger (CSU); 8-4
