Sophomore Dustin Morris leads the Rams after Day 1 of the Club Golf Intercollegiate at the 7,050-yard, par-72 Saticoy Country Club in Somis, Calif. Rams are in sixth place through two rounds with team totals of 311 and 318 in Rounds 1 and 2, respectively.
Morris, who was the Rams' top finisher as a freshman at the 2006 NCAA Regional, carded back-to-back rounds of 76 to sit at 8-over-par. Fellow sophomore, Sean McNamara posted a 77 in Round 1, followed by an 81 in Round 2 and sits in a tie for 21st.
Sophomore Bryce Hanstad and Junior Zen Brown, the Rams' top two golfers in terms of per round stroke average, are in a tie for 44th. Brown shot an opening round 77 and carded an 87 in his second round. Hanstad posted rounds of 81 and 83.
Riley Arp sits one stroke behind Hanstad and Brown in a tie for 44th.
Georgia State's Joel Sjohlm leads the pack with at 1-over-par. Host Pepperdine leads in the team-rankings with a two-round total of 606.
