FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Rams will visit the Nebraska Huskers Thursday through Sunday at the Devaney Center in Lincoln, Neb.

This weekend should offer an entertaining battle between the favored hosts, the Huskers, and several other teams, including CSU -- who has yet to lose in a dual or invitational so far this year.

The Husker season so far is similar to that of the Rams, with an undefeated record in dual meets. Both team have a strong potential in their home pools. The Huskers' last five home meets have been wins. The Rams have also succeeded on the road this season, competing in Colorado Springs, Colo., against Air Force and UNM, dominating the competition.

UNL is used to competing against the Big Ten this time of year and the invite will be nothing short of challenging.

Rams remain undefeated this season

The CSU swimming and diving team held on to an undefeated record Friday at Moby Pool. At the last home meet of the fall the Rams were able to lap the DU Pioneers for a 147.50-95.50 win.

The afternoon meet was harder than most this season as the Pioneers took first place in six of the 13 events. "I had a feeling it would be a struggle," said Head Coach John Mattos. "We were fortunate in some races, but I am very pleased because this is a very good DU team."

Freshman Michelle Price had a bittersweet fi nish in the 100 Backstroke, as she placed second but achieved a lifetime best time of 58.28. Another close finish by Kathleen McCleary left a bitter taste aft er she came back on the 500 Free only to get second by five-hundredths of a second.

"We had a couple of time touch problems; Kathleen won the race with her body, but not with her lunge. But as it turned out we didn't need those events to win," said Mattos.

Divers Elyse Hall, Karin Knudson and Kristie Bowdler rounded out the top three spots in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. Freshman divers Cori Swango and Jacqueline Bibee also competed but were exhibitioners in the meet.

"Every meet, this team rises to the occasion, no matter if it's home or away," Mattos said."We've got the heart of the conference, and maybe DU overlooked us a little bit."
