Colorado State (10-10) is set to play UC Davis in a WWPA matchup friday. Colorado State will then compete in the UC Davis Shootout against four other conference opponents this weekend. CSU at #9 UC Davis: CSU is 0-3 against the UC Davis Aggies all-time. Their last meeting was in 2006 at the UC Davis Shootout Tournament where CSU lost 2-13. UC Davis is coming off of an overtime loss against #6 UC Irvine.
CSU vs. Cal State Monterey Bay: CSU faces Cal State Monetery Bay for the first time this season. CSU holds a 2-1 record all-time against Monterey Bay. The Otters have a 14-10 record on the season. CSU vs. Cal State Northridge: Cal State Northridge and CSU will meet for the first time in school history. Cal State Northridge is 10-12 on the season. Cal State Northridge is the only opponent outside of the WWPA that CSU faces in the UC Davis Shootout.
CSU vs. Cal State San Bernardino: CSU faces Cal State San Bernardino for the second time this year. CSU lost the first meeting 7-11. San Bernardino is 3-1 all-time against the Rams, and San Bernardino are on an eight game win streak. CSU vs. #17 Santa Clara: Santa Clara and CSU face each other for the second time this season. Santa Clara came out on top in the first matchup, defeating CSU 11-4. Santa Clara is 14-10 this season and 2-0 all-time against CSU.

Colorado State holds a 1-7 all-time record in the UC Davis Tournament after going 0-4 last year. Last season the Rams fell to UC Davis (2-13), Indiana (1-10), UC Santa Cruz (3-4) and UC San Diego (6-14).

Colorado State posted a 3-1 record in the Claremont Colleges Tournament on March 17th and 18th. The Rams won their first three games of the tournament by defeating Chapman (15-8), Whittier (10-5) and Occidental (10-5). The Rams were defeated in the last game by Pomona-Pitzer (6-5). In the first game against Chapman, senior Laurien White, set a school record with six goals. The previous record was five goals held by Laurien White and teammate Annie Quinn. Net minder Dre Lugo posted 24 saves in two games while teammate and other goalkeeper, freshman Krystyna McCright, had 19 saves in two games.

Colorado State's Laurien White and Annie Quinn are both ranked nationally in goals scored. White is ranked 34th with 39 goals while Quinn is ranked 39th with 37. As a team, CSU ranks 25th in the nation in goals scored (8.9 gpg) while allowing the 15th fewest in the nation (7.8 gpg).

Colorado State's defense has been strong throughout the 2007 season. The Rams rank fourth in the Western Water Polo Association in goals allowed per game with a 7.8 gpg average. Only nationally-ranked teams UC Davis, Loyola Marymount and Santa Clara have better averages. UCD is sixth in the nation allowing 6.5 goals per game while LMU's is 6.9 and Santa Clara's is 7.6.
