UC Davis Tops Rams in Water Polo, 14-4

Davis, Calif. - The nationally-ranked UC Davis water polo team upended Colorado State in WWPA action Friday evening by a score of 14-4.
CSU (10-11) fell behind 8-0 before scoring its first goal just before the half. CSU then went scoreless in the third but outscored the Aggies 3-2 in the fourth to come to the 14-4 score.
"I'm just proud of the way that they played," commented head coach John Mattos. "They just played tough. Once we start putting it all together, we're going to be hard to beat."
Laurien White led the Rams with two goals while Annie Quinn and Shannon Kohl each had one. Krystyna McCright had nine saves in the loss.
The Rams will play two games Saturday and two on Sunday in the Aggie Shootout in Davis.
