The Colorado State women's tennis team is set to face the Air Force Falcons in the first round of the 2007 MWC Championships at 10 a.m. MST, Wednesday, April, 25.

The 9-11 (1-7 MWC) Rams enter the championships with a No. 8 seed. The only Ram win in Mountain West play this season was a 6-1 win over Air Force on April 1st. In the match, CSU took the doubles point and won five of the six singles matches. The Rams will enter the match with an 86-96 overall singles record, and are 50-35 overall in doubles play. No. 1 doubles pair Emily Kirchem and Hilary Tyler bring a nine game winning streak into the first round matchup, including an 8-6 win over Air Force earlier in the season. In the 2006 MWC Championships, the Rams lost in the first round to BYU, 4-0.

The Falcons are the No. 9 seed, finishing the season at 10-15 (0-8 MWC). Last year, the Falcons were defeated by Wyoming in the first round, 4-3.

The winner of the match will face top-seeded BYU in the quarterfinals on Thursday, April, 26th.
