FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Track and Field student-athlete Alex Godell has been selected by CSU academic student services as the student recipient of the Waterpik Excellence in Education Award, and will be honored at the CSU-UNLV football game on Saturday.
Godell, a junior from Littleton, Colo., will receive the award to honor his commitment toward academic and athletic success. Success of this sort is nothing new to Godell. He was the 2007 Mountain West Conference hammer throw champion, and has been an MWC academic award winner three times. He also has one of the highest GPAs on the men’s track team, and has earned the prestigious Merril Gheen Award, as the top male scholar-athlete at CSU.
There will be a public acknowledgement on the scoreboard during the football game.
