Sunday’s match will feature the final regular-season home appearance for CSU seniors Mekana Barnes, Ashley Fornstrom and Jaime Strauss. The trio has led the Rams to a 54-5 record at Moby Arena during its four-year run at CSU.
With a win on Sunday, the Rams would post their second consecutive undefeated season at home. Last season, CSU posted a 14-0 record at home and entering Sunday’s contest the Rams are 13-0 at Moby Arena - a streak of 27 consecutive matches, which marks the third-longest current home winning streak in the country.
Colorado State is 11-1 all-time at home against UNLV.
Barnes is one kill shy of her 300th this season. When she reaches that milestone, it will mark her third consecutive season with at least 300 kills.
First serve for Sunday’s match against UNLV is set for 1 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to catch all of the Senior Day festivities. The match will be broadcast on CBS College Sports on Tuesday at 7 p.m. MT.
