NEWS AND NOTES

  • The Rams have won two straight and 11 of the last 16 matches against BYU. Against the Utes, CSU has won 11 of the last 17 matches.
  • Against UNLV on Sunday, Mekana Barnes tallied her first double-double of the season with 14 kills and a season-high 10 blocks. She now leads the Mountain West in blocks per set at 1.48. As a team, the Rams currently rank third in the nation at 3.05 blocks per set.
  • Colorado State finished the home portion of its schedule on Sunday with a three-set sweep over UNLV. The Rams have now posted perfect 14-0 records at home in each of the last two seasons.
  • In their last two matches, the Rams have held each of their opponents to a negative hitting percentage. Against San Diego State on Nov. 13, the Aztecs hit -.020, and on Nov. 16, UNLV hit a Rams opponent season-low -.043.
  • The Rams match at BYU will be shown live at C.B. & Potts and 10 percent of revenue (both food and drink) from the entire day of sales will go toward the CSU athletic scholarship fund.
