Game Notes: Rams on the road at Boise State

MATCHUP QUICKFACTS

The Rams venture back on the road as they travel to Boise, Idaho, to take on the Boise State Broncos on Saturday evening. It marks the first of two consecutive road games for the Rams. They will take on local rival Colorado on Wednesday night at the Coors Events Center in Boulder.

Boise State will be facing a Mountain West team for the second consecutive game. They topped Wyoming, 86-85, in Boise on Wednesday night.

Sophomore Andre McFarland ranks second in the MWC in three-point percentage at .594 (19-32) and has made the second most three-pointers on the season. Over the last five games, he has hit on 16-24 from three-point range while making four or more three-pointers in three of the five games.

Head Coach Tim Miles will be featured on the Tim Miles Coach’s Show every week live from the Stonehouse Grille in Fort Collins. Shows will air from 7-8 p.m. on AM 560 KLZ and are available through CSURams.com.

The Rams men’s basketball team’s reality series, Reaching the Peak, is currently airing on The Mtn. A new episode of the show airs each Thursday and can be seen on Dec. 4 (6:30 p.m. MST), Dec. 11 (7:30 p.m. MST) and Dec. 18 (7:30 p.m. MST).

ABOUT BOISE STATE

Boise State will host the Rams on Saturday which will mark the end of six home games in a seven-game stretch to open the season for the Broncos. Boise State is a perfect 5-0 at home. The Broncos are led by senior forward Mark Sanchez who is averaging 17.3 points on .633 (38-60) shooting and 7.8 rebounds per game.

SERIES HISTORY

Saturday’s game will mark the seventh all-time meeting between the two schools. The Rams and Broncos met last on Nov. 20, 2006 in Fort Collins with the Rams posting a 67-50 win. That win sparked an eight-game win streak for the Rams after being at .500 (2-2) on the season.
