Rams - Gators set for showdown in NCAA tournament

• The Rams and Gators will be meeting for the second time this season (3-0 Rams swept Florida in Fort Collins on Sept. 13) and the fifth time all-time. CSU and the Gators have met once before in the NCAA tournament - Dec. 12, 2003 in Gainesville in the regional semifinals with Florida coming away with a 3-0 win.
• In the Rams first round win against FIU, Mekana Barnes posted team highs in kills (17) and blocks (7) while hitting .419 while Jaime Strauss added 16 kills and seven digs.
• The Rams are making their 14th consecutive and 20th overall trip to the NCAA tournament. CSU's run of 14 straight postseason berths is the longest consecutive streak of any sport in CSU history.
• The Rams are 19-19 all-time in NCAA tournament play and have advanced past the first round in 14 of the 20 appearances in the tournament.
• Colorado State will be hosting an NCAA regional for the first time in school history.
